Pups

Wind River's German Shorthaired Pointers are bred for desire, style, and trainability. It is the trainability that makes these dogs easy to work with in the field at any range you prefer. The average weight of our females is about 50 lbs. and the average weight of our males is about 60 lbs. We do not breed for any specific color, and are fortunate to have all six colors available frequently.

All of our litters are raised in a climate controlled kennel which is conveniently located next to our home. Our family includes four children who are 22, 20, 10, and 7 years of age. All of our family members spend endless hours socializing the puppies. The puppies also are raised around two cats which is beneficial if any of the puppies need to coexist with your other pets.

Our litters have been advertised heavily and our dogs have performed so well that the puppies are usually sold very quickly. Seven-week-old puppies are priced starting at $1000 for all colors, and we require a $100 deposit to reserve your puppy. Selection of puppies is based upon the order of the deposits of received. Should your circumstances change, your deposit will be refunded.

Most of our litters are sold before they are born, so we encourage you to contact us several months before you would like the puppy in your home. Our puppies are sold with a contract that protects the puppy as well as the buyer.

Please read the newly revised (January 2008) puppy contract to understand the terms of purchasing a Wind River's puppy. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
