Magic finished her Master Hunter title at 23 months old. I didn't guide with her on the Hunting Preserve until then. After two seasons she reached Heidi's level of success. They are the best pair of German Shorthair Pointers we have seen work together. Magic learned something special during her first season. She learned when we were done hunting released birds, she would range-out to pin wild pheasants. She is by far our best wild bird dog.

Magic was a natural retriever, but was force broke like all of our Master Hunter GSPs. She was a little slow backing other breeds, especially Weimeraners. She is now one of my most stylish honoring dogs. She points and honors with the same incredible style. Magic is a quick dog in the water. She will swim for hours chasing ducks on our pond.

Magic is still currently our top guide dog. Her partner, Heidi, is now 14 years old and has lost a lot of her stamina. Magic is guiding more than her share of hunts to allow Heidi extra time to rest.
